2018 NFL Mock Draft: Matt Miller’s Day 2 Predictions

The first round of the 2018 NFL draft began with Baker Mayfield coming off the board at No. 1 to the Cheap Basketball Jerseys UK Cleveland Browns and concluded when the Baltimore Ravens took Lamar Jackson at No 32. There was nonstop action and excitement between those selections, including numerous trades that drastically reshaped the order for Day 2.

With notable players such as Derrius Guice, D.J. Chark and Mason Rudolph still on the board, the second round should get off to a fast and riveting start. These players, and plenty others, are potential franchise-altering talents still waiting to hear their names called. They shouldn’t have to wait long, but as we saw in Round 1, anything can happen.

Age apparently plays a factor, with 68 percent of those 18 to 29 saying yes, compared to 37 percent of those 60 and older.

As for education level, 71 percent of those who did not finish high school say yes, compared to 39 percent of those with post-graduate degrees.

The poll was conducted via phone from April 23-25 with 736 people across the U.S. The margin of error was plus-or-minus 3.7 percentage points.

As for where he fits, the Jets see him as a 3-4 defensive end — Muhammad Wilkerson’s old role.

In college, Shepherd was a one, three, and five technique. A one technique lineman aligns between the center and guard, a three technique between the guard and tackle, and Cheap Dodgers Jerseys a five technique between the tackle and tight end. So he did a bit of everything in college.

Here is what Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan and coach Todd Bowles think of Shepherd:

Maccagnan: He is, we felt, a very talented guy, with a lot of upside. And we still think he has a lot of good football left in him. I don’t necessarily think he is an older player. It’s not like he is 28 or 29 years old. He is still going to be a fairly young guy, and we think he has a lot of not only potential to develop, but we don’t feel he is very far off from fulfilling that potential. I really don’t feel he’s too old of an investment for a draft pick.
